If shopping was for many years the main visitor drawcard to Paddington, in 2024, dining is an equal favourite, if not the main attraction to the area. Paddington’s restaurants are celebrated and diverse, ranging from top-end fine diners such as Ursula’s, Saint Peter and Fred’s to cult takeaway classics (Indian Home Diner is often considered a national treasure). In between, find family favourites including Christo’s and Arthur’s pizzerias, Asian diners including Maeda and Mr T’s, and quality mid-priced restaurants such as Chubby Cheeks and Il Baretto. There is a cuisine, style and price point to suit all tastes and always something new in the offing to look out for.
